Uesugi Kenshin’s Uma-jirushi pattern goods
Kenshin’s Uma-jirushi “Konjisyu-hinomaru-ougi” is a Uma-jirushi that shines in its simple beauty. The red Japanese flag drawn on the dark blue background catches the eye.
This Uma-jirushi is said to be based on the “Tenshi-no-mihata” given by Emperor Gohanazono, and is said to have been used at the Battle of Kawanakajima. Other flags of Kenshin include the one-character flag “Bi”, which depicts the single character of Bishamonten, and the one-character flag “Ryu”, which represents Fudo Myoo.
This Uma-jirushi symbolizing the bravery and grace of Kenshin is a must-see for history buffs!
